1st Meeting

It's Monday morning March 30, 2009. Last night LD got to meet his son for the first time. And, of course I waited by the phone for the phone call he promised. He said he'd call after the meeting. He said he got there a little after 6pm and left about 9pm. I asked what he thought and he said his son was "cute". He said his hair was darker than in the pictures. We had 3 pictures of him, looked like they were pictures of him when he was in his 1st year, 2nd and 3rd year of his life. But, I think when LD mentioned he was cute he meant the way he acted. He couldn't wait to show LD his room and all his toy's then when that was done he wanted to watch a movie with LD but LD said to him, "....maybe we should put away some of these toy's...." and the baby said "Nope". LD laughed. LD had brought him some Hot Wheels so he was playing with that while LD talked to mommy. LD said the next meeting would be next Saturday. They're going to the park to play baseball, this is what the baby wanted to do he said. Very cute. He also didn't want LD to leave. He asked LD to take him to pre-school tomorrow 'instead of grandma'. So cute!!
Right now he thinks of LD as a friend. He doesn't know he just met his Daddy for the first time.
I'm so happy I'm about to burst!! It's like sitting on my hands, not being able to meet him yet. They were supposed to go out to dinner Sunday night but mommy opted to stay home thinking it would be too much excitement for him. I never thought of that. She is totally right! Good thinking!
LD said that she doesn't have the internet so it may take awhile but she will email me some more pictures of him as soon as she can.
Right now I can only imagine how he is as I wait for the day I can finally meet him. I hope that day comes soon. I can't wait to play with him, bake for him, and hear him talking. I can't wait to meet her either. I can tell her all about 'our roots'. I can't wait to see his baby book and get to know more about him and all of his 'first's'.
I'm so excited!! That's why I'm still up at 5:30am on Monday morning watching a show all about baby's being born. Sem Sono.
