He's only 6months old now but he's got a couple teeth, he's on his walker and on solid food. They will be moving to Idiana so I won't get the chance to see him take his first's but I got a camera and mike for face time. I will miss them so much.

to the Movies!!

Tristan has been waiting to see Madagascar 3D since they announced it on Tv. It's been in the theaters now for 1 week. Funny thing, my mom has been dying to see this movie too!! So we went. It was a really good movie but the best was not only hearing the best sound in the world, his laughter, but what made it twice as special was hearing my mom AND my grandson laughing at the same scenes. It was great!! Solange also joined us. I thought...no little kid wants to go to the movies with just his grandma and great-grandma so I invited Solange. He loves her so much and they always seem to have fun together. My mom gave Tristan a dollar, he wasn't exactly thrilled, I don't blame him, with inflation and all, so she gave him another dollar then we debated on what to do next. We went to McDonalds before the movies so we asked him what he felt like doing and he decided on going to the Dollar store. He did his shopping. Mom let him keep his 2 dollars and she paid for the rest of his purchases, about 5 dollars worth and he was all happy. We dropped my mom off, she was tired. Mom was so happy, she got 2 kisses from her great-grandson, then we went to drop Tristan off and before he went inside he leaned in and said "tell *Bisa thank you." He had already thanked my mom, it was just so very sweet. Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if Solange absolutely couldn't make it one day.

*Bisa is short for Bisavó (great-grandma) in portuguese.

Took my Grandson to see Men in Black yesterday. He'd been waiting so long to see it. I was afraid of the PG13 label but he seemed to like it alot. He was very happy. The movie was in 3D. He tried to explain it to my mom that it DID make a difference wearing the 3D glasses but with her glaucoma in one eye and cataracs in the other it's hard for her to see much of anything. Big day though!! Next we see Madagascar. It's not in theatres yet but as soon as it is mom AND Tristan want to see that!! lol. Tristan is getting so big!! Between his mom being tall and on this side his uncle Tony, this boy is going to be towering over me in no time!! He's so funny and so sweet, I'm so proud of him!! I love you Tristan!!

My grandbaby, Tristan lost another tooth last night (monday night). His momma told me he was pretty excited about it!! Can't wait to see him. Asked April to find out what movie he wants to watch, suggested men in black, the new one. We'll see. I haven't seen him in awhile so I'm pretty excited myself to see him. Te amo Tristan!!

Rio 3D

Last week I took my grandson to see Rio. It feels like a year I've been waiting to take him to see this movie! I couldn't wait! I wanted him to experience alittle bit of his roots, I know it's silly. Some day though he'll understand. He liked the movie about a bird originally from Rio but sold to the USA and ends up in MN. Caged bird never learned to fly. But he goes back to Rio and he is taught how to fly. Such a cute movie. Sergio Mendes was the music guru and he didn't miss a beat literally. We took pictures of Tristan in his Brasil soccer shirt infront of an ad for the movie. Which reminds me I have to make an appointment to get his fotos taken at a studio.
